About us

The South African Qualification & Certification Committee (SAQCC) Fire is an industry-elected body, established to ensure that servicing and maintenance of fire protection equipment is conducted according to the specifications laid out in SANS 1475 and, more importantly, that technicians have the correct training, qualifications and experience.

For further information about training courses offered, please click here.

The formation of the SAQCC (Fire) came about originally as a result of consumer complaints and a lack of control and legislation regarding the fire industry. Click here to read more about the history of the organisation.

By law, CO2 fire extinguishers must be pressure tested at SANAS accredited test stations approved by the Department of Labour, and a certificate issued as proof. Click here for more about the regulations governing the fire industry.

For a full list of approved technicians click here and search "all".
